The City of Gassville Volunteer Fire Department - BID INVITATION

The City of Gassville Volunteer Fire Department is accepting sealed bids for the sale of two (2) units. 

The first vehicle is a 1992 Freightliner Commercial Cab Tanker truck with a 60 Series Detroit diesel engine (48,XXXmi.) and a 2,000-gallon tank and 600 GPM pump. The vehicle has storage compartments for tools, SCBAs, extinguishers, hose and fittings.

The second vehicle is a 1990 Pierce Lance Custom Pumper Fire Engine with a Detroit diesel 6V 92TA engine (19,XXXmi.) The engine is equipped with a Waterous top-mount 1,500 GPM pump and a 500-gallon water tank, a Honda EM 5,000 SX generator, a retracting ladder rack, and "rescue style" compartmentation.

Pump test and service records are available for both vehicles. The vehicles can be seen during regular office hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the fire station located at 206 S. School St. or by contacting Chief Michael Glotzl at (870) 706-1082.

Sealed bids will be accepted at Gassville City Hall at 204 S. School St. until 4:30 p.m. Tuesday August 20, 2024. Sealed bids should read clearly on the envelopes "1992 Freightliner Tanker" or "1990 Pierce Pumper". The sealed bids will be opened at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, August 20, at 6:00 p.m. The City of Gassville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids.
