ORDINANCE 2022-08

AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH EF RECOVERY BILLING SERVICES FOR THE CITY OF GASSVILLE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT TO SEEK REIMBURSEMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH ACT 1345 OF 2013 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 

WHEREAS, Act 1345 of 2013 allows for certain reimbursements to be billable to fire department's for services rendered in emergency responses; and 

WHEREAS, The City of Gassville Volunteer Fire Department formally request to seek reimbursement available per Act 1345 and enter into a contract to bill for services. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS: 

SECTION 1. AUTHORIZATION. That the City Council of the City of Gassville, Arkansas authorizes the mayor to enter into a contract with EF Recovery billing services to seek reimbursement per Act 1345 for the City of Gassville Volunteer Fire Department. 

SECTION 2. NON-RESIDENT. That reimbursement for services rendered in response to fire, vehicle or hazardous materials incidents to a non-resident or transient (traveler) of the City of Gassville shall be claimed as billable. 

SECTION 3. COLLECTION. The City of Gassville reserves the right to impose the use of a collection service agency to collect unpaid billable reimbursements.
