ORDINANCE 2007-06          BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATION

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 2000-10 CONCERNING PERMIT FEES FOR SINGLE FAMILY DWELLINGS, DUPLEXES, AND MANUFACTURED HOMES AND ADDING PERMIT REQUIREMENTS AND FEES FOR HVAC AND ELECTRICAL INSPECTIONS, OUTBUILDINGS, AND CHANGING THE COMPENSATION FOR THE BUILDING INSPECTOR. 

THEREFORE, be it ordained by the City Council of the City of Gassville, Arkansas that the following changes are made.

SECTION I: BUILDING PERMITS FEES.
     A. Residential structures, both new and renovations shall be twelve cents ($.12) per square foot of floor space whether heated or unheated.
     B. Outbuilding fees will be thirty dollars ($30) plus twelve cents ($.12) per square foot for areas larger than one hundred and twenty (120) square feet.

SECTION II: ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEE. Fee will be forty five dollars ($45) plus two dollars ($2) per circuit.

SECTION III: HVAC FEES. HVAC fee will be forty five dollars ($45) per unit.

SECTION IV: BUILDING INSPECTOR'S COMPENSATION. The building inspector will be entitled to sixty percent ( 60%) of the above fees.

SECTION V: REPEALER CLAUSE. Any ordinance or part thereof in conflict with this ordinance is hereby repealed.

SECTION VI: EMERGENCY CLAUSE. An emergency is therefore declared to exist and this ordinance being necessary for the public safety, property, and welfare shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage.
