ORDINANCE 2022-05

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2019-13 REGARDING THE COMPENSATION TO BE PAID TO THE CITY OF GASSVILLE BUILDING INSPECTOR AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 

WHEREAS, the City Building Inspector position is now being done by a full time employee of the public works department (street); and

WHEREAS, the compensation and fuel expenses for the position are stated by city ordinance 2019-03 and need to be amended due to changes.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GASSVILLE ARKANSAS: 

THAT SECTION IV of Ordinance 2019-03 is amended to the following:

SECTION IV: BUILDING INSPECTOR'S COMPENSATION: The Building Inspector position shall be compensated a minimum of $300.00 (three-hundred dollars) per month with a maximum salary of $600.00 (six-hundred dollars) depending on experience or as an increase in compensation is determined by the city council and reflected in a salary line item in the General Fund. No fuel expense shall be needed for the position as a city vehicle will be provided for the position.

EMERGENCY: For the continuity of compensation for the position an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance is in full force and effect by the date below. All other parts of ordinance 2019-13 remain in full force and effect.
