ORDINANCE 2021-06

AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 2014-02 ESTABLISHING THE MINIMUM SALARIES PER POSITION IN THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ALLOWING FOR A SCALE FOR THE MAYOR TO HIRE WITHOUT COUNCIL APPROVAL AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 

WHEREAS, The State of Arkansas has approved a new minimum wage amount that will be incremented to a final amount of $11.00 per hour; and 

WHEREAS, The City of Gassville established by Ordinance 2014-02 that a minimum starting wage was to be set at $10.00 per hour; and 

WHEREAS, There is a need to provide a new minimum starting salary scale to keep the City of Gassville competitive in the workforce. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS: 

SECTION 1. That Ordinance 2014-02 is hereby amended to include the new 
minimum/maximum salaries set in the attached hereto "Attachment A" of this ordinance. 

SECTION 2. That section four (4) of ordinance 2014-02 is amended to change the maximum number of certificate trainings allowed from (4) four to (6) six with no more than three certificates wage adjustments per year. 

FURTHERMORE, it is amended by this ordinance that there will no longer exist a maximum pay scale for the named positions of the City of Gassville.
