AN ORDINANCE DESIGNATING A WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREA ON HOUSER AVENUE IN THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS, PROHIBITING THE CONVEYANCE OF HAZARDOUS OR NON­-SANITARY MATERIALS AS DESCRIBED AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. 

WHEREAS, the Arkansas Department of Health approved a second well for the City of Gassville and a bufferzone is described within the proposed site; and 

WHEREAS, there is need to establish a wellhead protection area for the designated buffer zone that extends off city owned property. 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS: 

SECTION 1. DESIGNATED WELLHEAD PROTECTION AREA: 
That Houser Avenue between South School Street and Johnson Street in the City of Gassville is designated to be a wellhead protected area and the conveyance of hazardous or non-sanitary materials in amounts greater than for individual domestic use shall be prohibited. 

SECTION 2. POSTED SIGNAGE: 
The proper signage shall be posted for the area to make the general public aware of the designated area.
