ORDINANCE 1977-123 BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATION
AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING LICENSE FEES FOR BUSINESSES OPERATED IN GASSVILLE, ARKANSAS
WHEREAS, the City Council of Gassville, Arkansas, finds that it is in the public interest that a license fee be levied for the privilege of conducting business in the City of Gassville, and,
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that the following is a fair and equitable schedule of license fees.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of Gassville, Arkansas, that the following license fees shall b3e paid to the City Recorder no later than the 15th day of April of each year beginning on the said date, 1977 and annually thereafter as follows:

IT IS FURTHER found that the registration of businesses doing business within the City of Gassville is necessary for the protection of the public interest and that the fees herein charged shall be used to reimburse the town for expenses incurred for keeping records and issuing permits to the extent that the same is needed therefore.
HEREAFTER it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to maintain a business within the town without complying with the provisions hereof within thirty (30) days after commencement of business. Each violation hereof shall be punished by a fine of not less that one dollar ($1.00) and not more than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) each day such violation continues.
